Hexion has a long history—more than 100 years—of developing vehicle-preserving epoxy resin systems and building blocks for automotive primers, mid coats and topcoats. Epoxy resins serve as the basis for cathodic electrodeposition (CED) primers, and we supply the base resins that are used to develop CED formulations.

Our Cardura E10P Glycidyl Ester has also been used for decades as a building block in 2K polyurethane coatings for automotive OEM, refinish clear coats and CED to improve UV stability, acid etch resistance and to create high solids low viscosity polymers with good substrate wetting.
