EPON™ Resin 1001-O-75 is a solid resin solution of EPON Resin 1001F cut to 75% weight in Methyl n-Amyl Ketone(Mn-AK). The EPON Resin 1001F is derived from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. This epoxy resin solution finds application in solventborne amine or polyamide cured coatings.
The 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments require significant reductions in the emissions of certain EPA-defined hazardous air pollutants (HAP). A number of the targeted substances are solvents commonly used in ambient cured coatings. EPON Resin 1001-O-75 offers the coatings formulator a resin solution with high solids and good solubility, using a non-HAP solvent.
