Versatic™ Monomers for Elastomeric Roof Coatings

Hexion’s VeoVa™ vinyl esters can be used as co-monomers in the preparation of vinyl modified acrylic resins for elastomeric roof coatings. The incorporation of VeoVa monomers bring the following benefits:

  • Reduced water absorption
  • Increased elongation
  • Improved adhesion to various roofing substrates

Emulsions containing VeoVa monomers can be used as single binders or can be blended with commercial acrylic systems. Blending resins allows easy upgrade of a wide variety of elastomeric roof coating formulations.
